"Promoting Education Based Athletics in Indiana"
It's never over until it is over. The longer you play sports, the more likely you are to be involved with an unbelievable comeback, or sadly, a devastating loss.
This past weekend in the NCAA men's basketball semi's, the Houston Cougars trailed by nine points to the Duke Blue Devils with about two minutes to go. While it looked like the game was over, Houston pulled off an unbelievable comeback by winning 70-67.
Regardless of your sport, unexpected comebacks are a possibility. Football teams score multiple times late in the game, baseball/softball teams hit grand slams or score multiple runs late in the game, and runners can make up a deficit with a late kick at the end of a race.
Houston coach Kelvin Sampson said after last Saturday's game, "No one ever loses at anything as long as you don't quit."
Keep playing until the clock gets to zero or the final buzzer. It is never over until it is over, and sometimes the ending surprises everyone!
