Executive Committee
The Executive Committee meets monthly and is responsible for organizing and directing state tournaments, interpreting the Member School By-Laws, determining penalties for rules violations, and employing a commissioner and staff to administer the Association.

The members of IHSAA Executive Committee also serve as the Board of Directors, who meet annually on the first Monday of May to consider and vote on any changes to the Member School By-Laws—which provide the governing framework for the Association—that are proposed by any member school principal or the Commissioner. The Board of Directors (and by extension, the Executive Committee) consists of 19 administrators who are elected by school principals and represent member schools in all three districts of the state.
