IHSAA Student-Athlete Tip of the Week (2/10/25)
"Promoting Education Based Athletics in Indiana"
Over the years I have talked with numerous student-athletes who have shared with me their athletic experiences and things they would have done differently.
Granted, given second chances, we all would make some changes. We might have worked a little harder, listened a little better, gotten more rest and sleep, and maybe even been more coachable or a better teammate.
Before you have regrets, it is not too late to make some changes now. Some of the best athletes take what they learn in ninth and tenth grades and apply them when they are upperclassmen.
Hindsight is always 20-20, and you can almost always see where you might have done better. Don't wait. Be of the mindset that "I'm glad I did" rather than "I wish I had."
