TWO NEW SCHOOLS APPROVED FOR IHSAA MEMBERSHIP
Two schools were approved for full membership by the IHSAA Executive Committee during its recent first meeting of the 2011-12 school year.

Applications were received and unanimously approved from Anderson Preparatory Academy of Anderson along with West Gary Lighthouse College Charter Preparatory Academy of Gary.

The two new additions combined with four schools leaving the membership (Campagna Academy, Harding, Holy Cross, White’s) brings the IHSAA membership total to 408 schools for 2011-12.

Students at both schools will be able to compete in regular season events immediately but, by IHSAA rule, won’t be eligible to participate in state tournament competition for four years (2015-16).
