IHSAA Student-Athlete Tip of the Week (5/20/24)
"Promoting Education Based Athletics in Indiana"
As the school year comes to a close, it is a good time to reflect on your academic and athletic performance for this past school year.
Did you accomplish the goals you set for yourself? How did you perform in the classroom? How have you grown as an athlete, student, teammate and friend?
Some student-athletes will let it go to their head as they improve at their sport. Other student-athletes who improve will still have the drive to get better. I cannot stress it enough--that once you stop improving--others will pass you by. Let that sink in.
Use this summer to reassess your goals and then what steps you need to take to achieve them. No matter the sport, class, job or hobby that you have, keep striving to improve. There is always more to learn, develop or perfect!
