IHSAA Tip of the Week (4/11/23)
"Promoting Education Based Athletics in Indiana"
I was watching the Masters golf tournament this past weekend and couldn't help but reflect on the legacy of Arnold Palmer, one of the greatest golfers, who helped grow the sport of golf worldwide.
Late in Palmer's life, he was asked by a young fan to personalize a letter to his older brother for a high school graduation present.
Palmer responded with four thoughts that all student-athletes should follow:
1) Courtesy and respect are timeless principles
2) Know how to win by following the rules
3) Know the importance of when and how to say thank you
4) Never underestimate the importance of a good education
The school year may be ending in a few weeks, but this advice will serve you well for a lifetime!
