"Promoting Education Based Athletics in Indiana"
Most coaches try to keep things simple and stress to their athletes the importance of playing within themselves. What does that mean to you?
Do you recognize your strengths and weaknesses as an athlete? Do you realize what you need to do as a player to make your team better?
All athletes have deficiencies. No athlete is perfect at everything. In fact, very few high school athletes are excellent at one thing. But athletes who find their niche at what they do best are the ones who become so important to their team.
Focusing on your strengths and how you best contribute as a player will help you earn valuable playing time.
There is nothing wrong with having deficiencies as long as you recognize them. Sometimes doing less is more. In other words, don't try to do things that you cannot do. (sure you work on those things in practice and the off-season.)
Coaches love players who concentrate on what they do best and allow their teammates to do the same!
