IHSAA Student-Athlete Tip of the Week (10/3/22)
"Promoting Education Based Athletics in Indiana"
At some point in your athletic or academic career, someone has likely said to you, "I really believe in you." It might have been a coach, teacher, parent, grandparent, neighbor or a fan! What does that statement mean to you?
As a father, grandfather, fan and coach, I can tell you what it means coming from me. It means I believe you have talent, have potential, can succeed at what you are attempting. It means I believe you have the ability to follow through to accomplish what you start; you have my help if you need it.
It does not mean I expect you to be perfect or not to make mistakes. My belief is in no way tied to the outcome of your performance.
When you are facing difficult tasks or challenges, think of the people in your circle who believe in you. Remember you are not alone and let that drive you to fight through whatever challenge is before you!
