IHSAA and VYPE High School Sports Magazine Team Up Again in 2009-10

Posted: August 12, 2009

The Indiana High School Athletic Association and VYPE High School Sports Magazine (Central Indiana) have extended their partnership agreement through the 2009-10 school year.

This partnership allows VYPE and the IHSAA to combine their passions of promoting and supporting high school student-athletes in a positive manner.  As they did last year, VYPE will be providing free copies of its magazine and sponsoring several exciting sports memorabilia promotional giveaways at IHSAA state championship events.

“The IHSAA has been extremely supportive of our efforts and has provided us with incredible exposure,” said Phil Temple, CEO/Publisher of VYPE High School Sports Magazine (Central Indiana).  “This partnership extension by the IHSAA is flattering and rewards the talented contributions of local writers and photographers that strive to make VYPE an exciting component of high school sports coverage in Central Indiana.”

In addition, VYPE will feature a quarterly question-and-answer section with IHSAA Commissioner Blake Ress geared toward the fans of high school sports.  New this year, both VYPE and the IHSAA will offer business communities packaged incentives to purchase print advertising that will maximize their outreach to Central Indiana.

“VYPE has done a tremendous job of focusing on the positives associated in participating in high school sports in a first-class manner,” said IHSAA Communications Director Chris Kaufman.  “With our new agreement, businesses can benefit even more from our continued relationship centered on educational-based, high school sports. With greater advertising exposure in both the VYPE magazine and the IHSAA state finals programs, packages can be better developed and targeted.”

VYPE High School Sports Magazine (Central Indiana) is a complimentary publication and one of (14) franchises nationally that serve as the community’s local high school sports authority.  To capture the life and style of high school sports athletes, VYPE showcases today’s high school sports community through local interviews, opinions and photos that provide commentary, insight and coverage on what matters most to high school athletes and their families.  VYPE currently reaches over 115,000 people each month via their monthly magazine, web site, e-mail newsletter, and VYPE Game of the Week.

VYPE  is a national syndicate of locally owned and published magazines and owns over 28 online properties – all providing unprecedented access to the high school athletic community on the local and national level.  With a current circulation of 205,000 issues per month, VYPE High School Sports Magazine reaches over 750,000 people.
