GIRLS TENNIS TOURNAMENT PAIRINGS RELEASED
With sectional action set to begin on Wednesday, the Indiana High School Athletic Association drew the matchups for the latter three levels of the 37th Annual Girls Tennis Team Tournament this morning in Indianapolis.
Girls sectional matches for 311 teams run through Saturday (May 21) at 64 sites with the survivors advancing to 16 regional tournaments. Those regional semifinal matches are set for Tuesday, May 24, and championships on Wednesday, May 25. The four semi-states will be played Saturday, May 28, and the state finals Friday, June 3, and Saturday, June 4, in Indianapolis.
Sectional pairings will be drawn later today by the 64 host sites and will be added into the tournament brackets at www.ihsaa.org as they are reported.
Last year’s state champion South Bend St. Joseph’s sits atop the most recent poll from the Indiana High School Tennis Coaches Association and will begin defense of its crown at home in Sectional 58.
