Sport: Girls Gymnastics

Ashley Ernstberger was promoted to her current position as Director of Sport and Human Resources in 2024 and administers the sport of girls gymnastics for the Association.

Among her many duties, she works directly with members of the IHSAA Board of Directors to plan and organize their meetings and events, oversees all aspects of IHSAA administrative hearings, and is the contact for the group's merchandise partner.

Also the executive assistant to Commissioner Paul Neidig since 2020, Ernstberger has worked with three other assistant commissioners during her tenure - Robert Faulkens, Phil Gardner and Brian Lewis - and assisted them in the sports of baseball, basketball, cross country, football, unified flag football, track & field, unified track & field, and wrestling.

Ashley began her career at the IHSAA as an intern in January of 2011 and was hired full-time as an administrative assistant later that year. She also served as the varsity softball coach at Indianapolis Bishop Chatard from 2013-17.

Ernstberger earned a Bachelor's degree in Sports Management with a minor in Business from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis in 2011 and received a Master's in Athletic Administration from Grace College in 2020. A 2007 graduate of Southern Wells High School, Ashley participated in cross country, basketball and softball all four years for the Raiders.

She and her husband, Tyler, and their two children, Chandler and Parker, reside in Noblesville.
